How to Choose Your Color Service at Pin-Up Curls

Choosing a color service can feel a little confusing, especially when you're booking online. Do you need a root touch-up, highlights, or something totally new? Don't worry, Curlfriend. We made it easy!

At Pin-Up Curls Salon, Spa & Boutique in Fort Wayne, our color menu is built around what you want your hair to do, not salon lingo. Find the description below that sounds most like you, and you'll know exactly what to book.

Start With Your Goal

Ask yourself one simple question: what do I want my hair to look like when I leave? Then match it to one of these seven options.

Cover My Roots / Grays ($85+)

Choose this if: You're seeing new growth or grays at your roots, and the rest of your color still looks great. This is your regular root touch-up.

Want the ends refreshed too? Look at Cover My Roots + Refresh My Color.

Cover My Roots + Refresh My Color ($145+)

Choose this if: Your roots need coverage, and your color through the ends has faded or lost its shine. We'll cover the roots and bring the rest back to life.

Want brightness added too? Look at Cover My Roots + Add Blonde.

Cover My Roots + Add Blonde ($145–$160+)

Choose this if: You want your roots or grays covered and some brightness or highlights added in the same appointment.

Just need roots covered with no blonde? Choose Cover My Roots / Grays.

I Want to Be Blonder ($120–$170+)

Choose this if: You want to be noticeably blonder or brighter, with highlights, balayage or a bigger blonde refresh.

Going from very dark to blonde? Start with a Color Fix or Major Transformation consultation.

Just a Touch of Blonde ($75–$125)

Choose this if: You want a few highlights or lowlights around your face or part for subtle dimension, or a small refresh between bigger appointments.

Want more than a few highlights? Choose I Want to Be Blonder.

I Want a Fun or Vivid Color ($30 consultation)

Choose this if: You're dreaming of pink, purple, blue, green, rainbow or another bold shade, on all of your hair or just a section.

Color Fix or Major Transformation ($30 consultation)

Choose this if: You're making a big change, like going from very dark to blonde, or you need help fixing uneven, banded or unwanted color.

Vivid colors and major transformations need a $30 consultation first. Your Curl will look at your hair, talk through your inspiration and color history, and build a plan to get you to your goal safely. Learn more on our vivid color page.

A Few Things to Know Before You Book

Every color service includes a haircut or style. When you book online, add a Haircut or Style to finish your look. We never send you home with wet hair!
Prices are starting prices. Your final price depends on your hair length and thickness, how much product we use and the time needed. Your Curl will review your plan and price with you before you begin.
Major changes, color corrections and vivid colors need a consultation before your color appointment.
