Yay! You’re expecting! This is so exciting for you but I’m sure you have some questions to ask your hairstylist! So I’m here to give you all the tips!
Will pregnancy affect my color?
A lot of women notice their natural hair coming in darker or lighter, it can happen either way. Your hair may be stronger so it could be resistant to the color and not take as well! If your hair is porous the color might turn darker than you were expecting. This also goes with highlights…they might not turn out as bright blonde as you were hoping. Hormones really affect your hair and in return could have a different outcome. It’s a good idea to have a beauty plan with your stylist for your color while you’re pregnant!
Will my hair fall out?
Your hair normally will go through 3 stages: Catogen, Anogen, and Telogen stages (CAT). During pregnancy your hair won’t go through these stages, therefore when you have baby your hair will start the process of its 3 stages and start to fall out. The average person looses about 100 hairs a day, but not all at once, so you don’t notice them! When you’re expecting, however, your pregnancy hormones keep those hairs from falling out-leaving your hair looking and feeling like a supermodel! But all good things must come to an end, and that includes your beautiful locks. When your hormones drop back to normal, the extra hairs drop too. Never fear we have a thickening line from Eufora that can get your hair back to normal.
As your stylist, I will give you all the tools to have healthy hair post and pre-pregnancy! Of course always reach out with any questions!! ❤️ Kyla Westerman
